E R Alloy Wheels
E R Alloy Wheels repairs and refurbishes wheels, and needed each service to be findable on its own terms rather than buried in a list. We built a six-page Astro and Tailwind site with a page per job type, AutoRepair structured data carrying service catalogue, reviews and opening hours, and native view transitions with no framework JavaScript.

The problem
Wheel work is several distinct searches - diamond cutting, powder coating, refurbishment, crack repair - and a single page listing all of them competes properly for none. The site also needed to carry real reviews into search results, because for local automotive work the star rating is often what decides the click.
What we built
- A page per service, each with its own title, copy and structured data
- AutoRepair schema with OfferCatalog, AggregateRating and four Review nodes
- Service areas marked up as City and AdministrativeArea, matching the areas actually covered
- Native CSS view transitions, so page changes animate with no framework JavaScript
- Tailwind v4 via the Vite plugin, with brand tokens in a single @theme block
Several services, several searches
Diamond cutting, powder coating, refurbishment and crack repair are four different jobs at four different prices, and people search for them by name. A single services page mentioning all four ranks for none of them well, because it has one title, one description and one set of structured data to spend.
So each became a page. Each has its own Service node, its own internal links, and copy written for
someone who already knows which job they need.
Reviews where they count
For local automotive work, the star rating in the search result does a lot of the selling before
anyone reaches the site. The build marks up AggregateRating and individual Review nodes from
real reviews, so they are eligible to appear alongside the listing.
Service areas are marked up as the places the shop genuinely covers. That distinction matters: claiming a county you cannot service is the usual way these listings get pulled.
No framework, still animated
Page transitions animate through the native CSS @view-transition rule rather than a client-side
router, and the header is excluded from the animation so it stays put. The result is a site with
transitions and zero framework JavaScript in the bundle.
