Direct bookings, not commission on every room night

We build websites for boutique hotels, aparthotels and serviced apartments that are designed to win the direct booking instead of handing it to an online travel agency. Rooms, rates and availability are marked up so search engines can read them, the booking path is short, and the site is fast enough to hold someone who is comparing four tabs.

  • Room pages with HotelRoom and Offer schema search engines can read
  • A booking path short enough to finish on a phone
  • Works with your existing booking engine, or none at all
  • Every room night booked direct is commission you keep

The direct booking is the whole point

Every room night sold through an online travel agency carries commission, and the guest stays the agency’s customer rather than yours. A direct-booking site cannot make the agencies disappear, but it can make booking with you the obvious and easier option for anyone who has already found you.

That means a short booking path, honest rates shown without a hunt, and enough detail on the page that nobody needs to open a second tab to decide.

Room pages, not a room table

Guests search for a studio, a one-bedroom, somewhere that sleeps four. A table of room types on one page cannot rank for any of those. Each room type gets its own page with its own photography, rates and amenities, and its own HotelRoom, Offer and BedDetails structured data.

Those room pages reference the parent property by @id rather than restating the address and phone number, so your details are declared once and cannot drift out of sync.

Questions we get asked

Can it work with the booking engine we already use?

Yes. The site is built around whatever engine you are on rather than replacing it, so your rates, availability and payments stay where your team already manages them. If you have no engine yet, the site can take enquiries and deposits while you decide.

Will this reduce what we pay the OTAs?

It can only help if guests can find and finish a direct booking easily, which is exactly what the build targets. We cannot promise a percentage, because that depends on your mix and your rates. What we can do is remove the friction that sends people back to the OTA.

Do you handle photography?

We do not shoot it, but we will tell you exactly what shots the layout needs and at what sizes, and we will optimise whatever you have. Good room photography moves direct bookings more than almost anything else on the page.

How many pages does a small hotel need?

Usually a home page, one page per room type, a location page, and a short page each for amenities and policies. Room pages matter most, because they are what people search for and what carries the structured data.
